Our vision is to develop women who are confident, career-focused agents of social change. Our purpose is to support students through comprehensive academic and personal growth-focused programming, designed to inspire the young women in our programs and leverage their strengths. Students enter our programs in the seventh grade, and they are supported through college graduation with academic and personal growth workshops, supportive mentorship, college visits, career exploration outings, college counseling, financial aid support, application guidance, and more. Further, our programs also prioritize the overall development of the young women we serve we support critical social and emotional growth, soft skills development, self-advocacy, and the overall wellbeing of our students. MOSTe programming starts in 7th and 8th grade, teaching girls to nurture and validate their ambitions. By the time they enter our high school program, students have toured local universities, built rapport with terrific mentors, and built a college-going identity through facilitated workshops. In high school, we offer workshops at a college campus, financial planning assistance, overnight college tours, and scholarships everything they need to get into a good four-year school. When MOSTe Scholars go off to college, MOSTe goes with them. Our college retention program monitors grades and students' emotional well-being to make sure they are on track to succeed. After college, students can join WOMAN, the Women of MOSTE: Alumnae Network. WOMAN allows students to support each other as young professionals through meetups and special events.

We champion the practice of valuing every voice, demystifying public speaking and increasing access to tools, mentors, and experiences that build confidence. While public speaking is a core skill many great leaders possess, the world lacks welcoming spaces to practice speaking up, express yourself, and strengthen community connections. This is especially true for women and girls who continue to face struggles and confront biases when developing their leadership skills and navigating inequitable barriers in society. To feel capable to lead and speak, girls need to first feel like they belong to a community that cares about them. Through high-quality public speaking education, we help our participants speak in a clear, engaging way that represents who they are and what they care about, focusing on storytelling, debate, self-advocacy, poetry, presentation, and listening. We offer programs for individuals, schools, and organizations, all focused on helping people of all ages be authentic, inspire positive change, address social anxieties, and feel connected to others. Our public speaking programs and accompanying resources create welcoming practice spaces to be brave and vulnerable and process how to navigate conditions that make it hard to speak up, capabilities that will serve them the rest of their lives.

Learning at Hamlin is purposeful, joyful, and expansive. Hamlin girls learn inside the classrooms of our urban campus and outside in the greater Bay Area: in national parks, museums, and online. Through service learning and community partnerships, our girls are taught that learning at school has immediate relevance in real-life., We believe that success in the 21st century requires an intentional focus on critical thinking and problem solving, effective oral and written communication, collaboration, and creativity. While we embrace the importance of content knowledge in our program, we also are ignited by the words of our founder Sarah Dix Hamlin, who asserted that "the mere knowledge of the facts would be insufficient" to prepare the girls to meet the challenges of their time. Thus, our educational program emphasizes the acquisition of knowledge and its application in new and unfamiliar contexts. We strive for breadth and depth. We value engagement as well as reflection.

Our goal is to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. During our 10-week programs, the girls train for the Girls on the Run 5K run/walk while learning life skills such as healthy decision-making and teamwork. Running is used to inspire and motivate girls, encourage lifelong health and fitness, and build confidence through accomplishment. At each season's conclusion, the girls and their running buddies complete a 5K running event. Completing a 5K gives the girls a tangible sense of achievement as well as a framework for setting and achieving life goals.
