YOUTH RESEARCH HUB
Nonprofits, funders, leaders, and policymakers rely on good data to do impactful work. We engage youth as researchers to provide data centered on girls’ and gender-expansive youth’s experiences, especially those of girls of color. This data equips leaders, service providers, and policymakers with the insights needed to better serve them.
COMMUNITY BUILDING
We support girl and gender-expansive youth-serving organizations and their champions through our membership network, ongoing learning opportunities, speaking engagements, and events to meet their missions and address the needs of girls and gender-expansive youth. Additionally, we offer capacity-building services such as technical assistance, youth-centered research, and transformational evaluation.
DATA-DRIVEN SYSTEMS CHANGE
We facilitate collective advocacy and promote policies, budgets, and programs that prioritize girls and gender-expansive youth. Our advocacy is based on youth-driven data and recommendations provided by our communities.
Since 2012, we have been investing in the girl and gender-expansive youth-serving ecosystem by UPLIFTING girls and gender-expansive youth of color’s voices and needs and the organizations that serve them in order to SHIFT POWER so that they are centered in the solutions that impact them and their communities.

Intersectionality is key to gender equity
We recognize that girls hold multiple and often interacting identities, and that Black and Brown girls are some of the most vulnerable, experiencing barriers and oppression in unique ways.
Those closest to the problem are closest to the solution
Girls are the experts of their own lives and they know what they need to thrive. Every single action we undertake is done in collaboration with girls and the organizations that support them.
We need to move beyond the gender binary
The binary doesn’t serve anyone. When we say girls, we are referring to gender-expansive youth (cis girls, trans girls, non-binary youth, gender non-conforming youth, gender queer youth and any girl-identified youth).
We believe in the power of the collective
We believe that we are stronger together than alone and that’s why we do everything in community and partnership.
