Staying Connected With The AFG Community
Alliance Members,As we say goodbye to the first half of 2022, we want to reach out and make sure you are as empowered as you can be in our vibrant and rapidly growing community! One of the many benefits of being an Alliance for Girls member is the many ways you all share with us, with each other and with all those following AFG the multitude and magnitude of work you are doing, issues you are advocating for and visions you have for the future of the 300,000 girls and gender expansive youth that walk through our collective doors every day.As such, we wanted to share a refresher and update on how we at AFG can facilitate you all sharing your resources, events, and news with the network and with us.The Three Ms of staying in touch + sharing your work as members of AFG:
Mobilize: We encourage all members to take advantage of their Mobilize account . Mobilize is AFG’s online platform where everything you share is shared with the entire AFG community: events, resources + job postings – it's your community! If you do not have your login to Mobilize or need help, please contact Uche Esomonu at uchenna@alliance4girls.org and we will get you logged in and ready to go.
Mentions: We know your organizational life is vibrant and alive on social platforms – so is ours! Because of the high volume of requests for sharing via social channels – we ask that members who would like AFG to share their online posts on our social accounts tag us in their organization’s original post for a retweet, share and like. To streamline the communications process on our end and make the process equitable within our capacity limits, we will no longer be using direct messages on our social accounts as a way to communicate communications needs. You can tag AFG on twitter, linkedin, facebook and instagram to alert us of your work and we will gladly share your social posts. We check these weekly and will share requests and mentions accordingly.
Message our Communications team: If Mobilize and mentions are not enough, AFG has created a dedicated communications inbox where you can also send requests: comms@alliance4girls.org. We ask that all communications and media requests go to our new inbox. If a communications request needs to be rerouted to a specific team member, we will reroute and get you exactly where you need to go. We plan to check this inbox weekly and will share requests accordingly.
We look forward to sharing your stories, work, events and opportunities as we keep moving forward in 2022.It is an honor and privilege to be a part of your network and communities and a joy to be co-conspirators in this work. The AFG Team
