AFG is thrilled to announce the promotion of Chantal Hildebrand as the organization’s first Deputy Director.

“With her extensive experience in programs, community mobilization, relationship building with multi-sector stakeholders and cultural strategy, Chantal will continue to help lead our stellar team as we take AFG to the next level in serving our members,” says Cynthia Nimmo, AFG Interim Executive Director.

Chantal first joined AFG as AFG’s Director of Programs in February 2021, where she led the development of the organization’s robust range of programs to improve systems to best meet the needs of girls* and gender-expansive youth. Chantal has a decade’s worth of experience in the nonprofit sector, working to advance gender and racial equity. She brings an intersectional lens and a passion for creating spaces for historically-oppressed populations to share their diverse experiences and to lead decision-making processes to improve their lives and wellbeing, and that of their communities. Chantal has a Masters in Public Health and a Masters in City Planning from the University of California, Berkeley.

Chantal’s leadership and expertise will help shape the next phase of impact of our dynamic organization, whose budget and staff have grown tremendously in recent years, and whose programs continue to grow in complexity, scale and reach.

Join our team! AFG is hiring for a Director of Finance & Administration. We offer a supportive workplace with hybrid work options, flexible hours, holiday closure and more excellent benefits.
