The Girls* Resource Hub is Now LIVE!
We’re thrilled to announce the new and improved AFG Girls* Resource Hub! Formerly the Girls Service Directory, the AFG Girls Resource Hub is an interactive, online directory of organizations that provide programming and/or services for girls and gender-expansive youth across California, with particular focus on the Bay Area and Los Angeles County.
It is a platform where girls and gender-expansive youth themselves and the adults that serve them can find and connect to the resources and services available in their communities and beyond.
Developed for girls, by girls, this free, publicly accessible directory was heavily youth-led and informed. We specifically surveyed them on what type of platform they needed or wanted to see to get resources easily and directly and this was what drove its creation! The AFG Girls Resource Hub includes a one sentence description of the type of services that each organization provides, the identities they serve, the languages their services are provided in, the age groups they serve, the cost to use these services, if any, and more.
We want to share the AFG Girls Resource Hub widely! Please help us increase awareness of this platform among educators, school/district administrators, after-school programs, youth-serving organizations, and other key community groups that support youth and their families, as well as to girls and gender-expansive youth directly!
To add your organization to this powerful directory, please fill out the form at bit.ly/GirlsResourceHub and email your logo to kennedy@alliance4girls.org. To recommend an organization for our directory or share ideas on where to promote it, please also email kennedy@alliance4girls.org.
*"Girls" refers to gender-expansive youth (cis girls, trans girls, non-binary youth, gender non-conforming youth, gender queer youth and any girl-identified youth).
